The first thing to mention on this player is that, unlike most current players, it includes its own codecs pack, so, if we download VLC we do not need to download any additional codecs package. Indeed, the package included works much better than other developers' packs. A film that is not played by any other software, will be played perfectly by VLC Media Player more than likely.
Another advantage is that this is a completely free software and it has been developed with open source and the author's website we have available all source codes, so if we have any programming knowledge we can make adjustments we deem necessary for our personal use.
